Software Integration Engineer
Role Overview
As a Software Integration Engineer in the client's Commercial and International Defence team, you will be responsible for improving ECDIS and Radar navigation software. Delivering customer and business solutions through a combination of products enhancements and improvements, coordinating and incorporating outsourced software development, and providing technical assistance to our service and application organisation, you will be involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle for Sperry's VisionMaster product family and Sperry's business value streams for products and systems business.
Key responsibilities:
  • Working with other team members and subject-matter experts (SMEs) to define architecture, high-level requirements and design concept for new features and product enhancements
  • Delivering customer improvements to VisionMaster products in-house
Skills & Experience
Technical Skills- C# Software development- Object-orientated design skills- Problem decomposition / work breakdown structures generation
Industry Experience- Experience of work with sub-contractors- Experience of creating and documenting design concepts
Personal Characteristics- Excellent written communicator- Able to discuss complex ideas with team members- Good team worker- Personable and motivated
