The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food process industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations along with planned and preventive maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager / Project Engineer to join the company supporting contracts in Birmingham and across the Midlands, from the companies head office in Birmingham or regional office in Northampton, depending on your location.

Duties

As a suitably experienced mechanical project manager / project engineer, you will be working with a variety of high profile food and beverage production clients, across sites in the Midlands, Oxfordshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. With responsibility to project manage, through the complete life cycle from tender to completion, process pipework and plant installation contracts, ranging in value from £10k to £5m. All projects will be within a food and beverage production environment.

About You

Based ideally in the Midlands you will need to live within a commutable distance of either the Birmingham head office B30 3HX or Northampton regional office in Rushden NN10 6AR.

Demonstrable experience of mechanical project management /engineering ideally within the food industry with particular knowledge of coordinating labour, plant and materials to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. A good working knowledge of welding, process pipework, stainless steel fabrication and the associated plant and equipment would be a definite advantage but is not essential.
