CNC Operator Setter
Birmingham, B24 9PJ.
Long term contract role which may lead to a permanent position:
Mon - Fri 2.00pm - 10.00pm
The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical engineering installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services, fire and security installations and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CNC Operator Setter to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting a major project in Birmingham.
As a suitably experienced CNC Operator Setter you will be working within a clean well- maintained workshop setting, operating a range of Hurco, 3 axis CNC horizontal milling machines to produce a variety of high quality parts. Primary responsibilities will include: setting, checking and calibrating 5no.CNC machines. Other duties will include independent start up, re-setting and shutting down of the machines as necessary and as required. The role will also include assisting colleagues where necessary and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with the workshop health and safety policy.
Based ideally in the Birmingham area you will need to live within a short commutable distance of B24 9PJ.
You will already have an excellent understanding of operating and setting CNC machines along with experience with grinding, milling and lathes. However, you will also be looking to improve your skills particularly around the programming aspect of the work as the company is willing to provide programming training for the successful applicants.
In return for your experience, you will receive a salary between £11.00 and £15.00 per hour as well as a range of other benefits.
