Electrician - Building Fabric Maintenance

The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the commercial and industrial sector. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes complete electrical installations along with planned and preventative maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a maintenance electrician to join the company supporting projects in Birmingham and across the country.
As a suitably qualified and experienced electrician you will be working on site at a major commercial office development in Birmingham. With responsibility to carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance to the building fabric. Specifically, first line response maintenance and fault diagnosis to electrical distribution, generators, general and emergency lighting, building management systems and access control systems. Typical duties will include replacing light fittings, fire alarm checks, emergency light tests along with other non electrical works which may including changing filters to air handling units, building flat pack furniture or re hanging notice boards.
The role will also include maintaining other buildings within the Group with regular visits to sites in Peterborough, Hemel Hempstead, Bristol and Halifax for which a fully expensed company vehicle will be provided.
Based ideally in Birmingham you will need to live within a commutable distance of B30 3HX.
Demonstrable experience of electrical installations within a commercial environment with a strong electrical core engineering background is essential for this role.
Minimum NVQ Level 3, 17th Edition and ECS
IPAF would be a definite advantage.
In return for your experience you will receive a salary between £16.90PAYE and £22.00CIS/LTD per hour as well as other benefits.
