The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food process industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installation along with planned and preventative maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Thermal Insulation Engineer to join the company supporting projects in Wiltshire, the Midlands and Nationwide from their office in South Marston.
As a suitably experienced thermal insulation engineer or lagger you will initially be working within a food production facility in Swindon. With responsibility to shape and fit insulation materials around newly installed pipework, ductwork, air conditioning units and storage tanks to prevent heat loss or condensation forming. Specific duties will include referring to building layouts and job sheets to plan the installation. Preparing and cleaning surfaces to be insulated. Measuring and cutting insulation materials to size. Fitting insulation material with clips, adhesive or cement along with other associated works as necessary.
Based ideally in Swindon you will need to live within a commutable distance of SN3 5BZ.
Demonstrable experience of installing the full range of thermal installation products within a commercial industrial environment, with a good working knowledge of process pipework and the associated plant and equipment.
TICA Thermal Insulation Engineer advanced craft, Asbestos Awareness, CSCS and IPAF Qualified.
