Multiskilled Commissioning Engineer

Carbon60 are currently hiring for an Multiskilled or Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join one of our global-leading clients within the water industry at their site based in Peterborough.

This client is striving for ecological are striving for ecological transformation, providing solutions and solving the world's most pressing needs within the demanding water industry.

We are looking for an electrically qualified and experienced individual to lead various operations such maintenance, fault-finding, repair and general housekeeping tasks upon various equipment and control systems within a busy engineering environment - ensuring everything is running smoothly and as it should.

 

Salary: Up to £45,000 p/a depending on experience and qualifications

Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Mon to Thurs, 7:30am - 2pm Friday

 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault-finding and modifications on PLCs, Control Systems, Plant and Water equipment
  • Commission both new and recently refurbished equipment
  • Maintain various electrical and mechanical equipment such as: Control Systems, Lighting, Instrumentation, Pumps, Motors, Etc
  • Provide PLC and Electrical support to plant and assembly teams
  • Maximise both efficiency and cost-saving by improving electrical consumption
  • Lead by example, ensuring both Health & Safety and company culture are being adhered to throughout the facility
  • Liaise with various managers to eradicate any unknown design issues
  • Ensuring accurate records are maintained, as well as upkeep of work rules and processes
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience in carrying out electrical work on industrial equipment (Motors, Pumps, etc) and Siemens/Allen Bradley Software
  • 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations and/or NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification (I.E Installation)
  • Experience in the management of projects
  • Previously operated within an Industrial/Manufacturing/Operational Setting
  • IT literate and competent in Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Quality awareness
  • Previous Water industry experience is desirable but not essential
