A fantastic opportunity has arisen for one of our blue-chip clients who are a global industrial and energy company; and also, pioneers in innovation and sustainability.
They are looking for an Electrical Foreman to help oversee the construction of a large-scale energy project in Cheshire.

Scope of the role: As an Electrical Foreman, you would be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of electricians and other staff in order to ensure the successful completion of the project. You would inspect and implement electrical systems, analyze and troubleshoot electrical problems, and provide technical oversight and guidance to electrical staff. The Electrical Foreman is also responsible for ensuring safety compliance, budgeting and costs, and developing project timelines.

Location - Ellesmere Port, Cheshire

Length of position: 12 months approx
This client may also have other contract role/permanent positions available after this assignment.

Rate/Salary: Day rates. Negotiable. Facility to work outside IR35/CIS available.
Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians and other electrical workers during installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
  • Assign duties, examine work for accuracy, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
  • Direct and train workers to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Prepare sketches and follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment, and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed

Electrical Foreman Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
  • Ability to supervise and train electrical staff
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and components
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
