Carbon60 is seeking an experienced Construction Labour Coordinator with extensive expertise in scaffolding and site management for a prominent nuclear site in the UK. As a Labour Coordinator, the main purpose of the role is to coordinate the full blue-collar workforce on the Sellafield site. The operatives span across multiple disciplines of scaffold, rope access, asbestos removal, insulation, and rigging.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Create weekly resource graphs detailing delta between allocated and available workforce.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Innovative and challenging mindset to enhance the current planning methodologies.
  • Source detail from Supervisors, Project Managers and Client directly to generate weekly distributed plans for Blue Collar Operatives
  • Covering Maintenance and Project Work across 5no. Disciplines
  • Manage and level resource requirements over long term, managing peaks and troughs of labour requirements.
  • Produce Resource Allocation Confirmation Sheets and maintain log.
  • Ensure Early Warnings and CE's (NEC3/4 compliant) are produced if client withdraws requirement after confirmation.
  • Communicating with multiple parties and ability to prioritise tasks.

Resource Allocation:

  • Allocate resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) to various projects based on priority, availability, and project requirements.
  • Monitor resource utilisation and adjust allocations as necessary to optimise efficiency and productivity.

Scaffolding Management: (personnel)

  • Oversee all scaffolding operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with scaffolding teams to plan, erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures as required.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety and integrity of scaffolding installations.

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to organise meetings and meet regular deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable to fast paced environments.
  • Must be able to attain SC clearance.
  • Extremely competent in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Previous planning experience is desirable.
