Our client is looking for a street works inspector to join them on a temporary contract lasting until October 2024. In this role you will be responsible to coordinate tasks and/or small complex projects using appropriate techniques to ensure that agreed actions and service delivery targets are met. Assist with the delivery of Bristol's Street works Permit Scheme as required by the team manage.

Key responsibilities:

  • Under the overall guidance of the team manager, take the lead on assigned project and/or service development and delivery objectives, ensuring the effective deployment of delegated resources (money, staff and information) to achieve agreed targets.
  • Develop specific expertise in the team's overall work programme, with the aim of becoming a source of authoritative advice and guidance to current and future project teams within the Service
  • Design and implement a range of technical solutions to maintain, develop and/or enhance the highway infrastructure and/or related functions
  • Contribute in the development of service improvements and quality assurance in regard to allocated functions. To respond to operational needs and maximise service provision by creating, developing and implementing innovative working solutions.

You will need:

  • Street works supervisor qualification( NRSWA)
  • Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions on the transport network.
  • Willing to work outside standard hours
  • Full UK drivers licence
