Crane Service & Maintenance Engineer (FM)

Aldermaston, Berkshire, paying up to £45,000 pa

Carbon60 are looking to recruit an experience Crane Service and Maintenance Engineer to join a static team based at a site In Berkshire. You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and defect rectification on all cranes, lifting equipment, roller shutter doors and other electrical and mechanical equipment.

Up to £45,000 per annum DOE

Working hours: 0745-1630 (1615 on Friday) Inclusive of 9-day fortnight

*Must be able to obtain & maintain the required security clearance* (Funded by site)

  • Conduct themselves at all times in accordance with company core values and code of ethics
  • Ensure that all servicing and inspections are completed in accordance with the planned schedule
  • Work closely with the planner to identify task blockers at an early stage and communicate accordingly
  • Produce service reports and condition reports
  • Respond and work flexibly in response to equipment breakdowns
  • Undertake training and qualification for Appointed Person and Work Supervisory Office status


  • A recognised engineering qualification ONC/HNC/HND/I.Eng
  • A minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a lifting equipment discipline
  • A proven crane servicing engineering background
  • Knowledge of in-service inspection procedures and processes
  • Proven working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety legislation associated with lifting equipment (LOER)
  • Sound knowledge of PUWER
  • Must have a full and current UK driving license
