Chinook Mechanical Technicians

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for Chinook Mechanical Technicians for a long-term contract based in Middle Wallop. The contract is to start as soon as possible after completion of a clearance. The working hours are Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm with a 12.30pm finish on a Friday. This contract will be based on-site.


Performing the assembly, disassembly, and modification of systems by conducting the change, removal, replacement, or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

Conducting assembly, disassembly, or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

Proficient in troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and associated electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.

Validate and verify testing of systems and components, documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g. repairs test results applicable modifications and inspection results).

Can work with their peers to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking towing system operations).

Experience Required:

Ideally candidates will have extensive experience working on Chinook Aircraft and be familiar with specifications and drawings.

Have experience working within a team of Aircraft Technicians.

Candidates will ideally have Vocational based trade training.

Candidates must be able to work under minimal supervision with limited direction.
