Senior Technician

Our client is looking for a senior technician within structures to join their team on a 6 month contract starting at the end September 2024. In this role you will be responsible for Cad designs on Highway Structures.

Key responsibilities:

• The preparation of technical design drawings / models and contract documents, to ensure the implementation of structures maintenance, projects and improvements within published programmes and budgets.
• The collection, assessment and impartment of information that is essential to the successful scheme preparation and implementation process to include liaison with outside bodies and contractors.
• To liaise with relevant bodies (i.e. contractors, statutory undertakers etc.) and visit site to assist in providing solutions to construction issues.
• The preparation of estimates for the purpose of budget assessment and monitoring.

You will need:

• RQF Level 4 in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience in the design and construction of structural, geotechnical or civil engineering projects.
• Competent in the preparation of structural maintenance or improvement, including the production of detailed drawings and schedules
• Competent user of CAD software (Civil 3D, MX, Auto CAD etc.) and structural design software (LUSAS etc.)
