We are supporting our blue chip energy client in their hire of a Head of Construction candidate. Reporting to the Managing Director the role will be primarily remote based with site visits, as well as office visits, at locations throughout the UK as and when required.

The role is to ensure the clients energy/renewable energy projects are delivered on time and better than budget as well as handing over the installation to my client's Operational teams seamlessly. The workflow (tasks) requires continuous reviewing as part of a lessons learnt approach with all projects. Part of the role regularly requires innovative thinking with managing contracts and customers, as well as the need to be creative with the purchasing elements of the role, plus supporting sales when required allowing better cost control pre and post-sale and with subcontractors.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Circa 3 months with possibility of extension
Rates: Negotiable (DOE) Daily Rate Inside IR35 via PAYE or Umbrella
Full UK Working Rights Required

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects, specifically in industrial or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Project Management Certificate preferred
