Maintenance Fitter (FM) - Manchester
The Pipefitter Maintenance role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of piping systems and fixtures used in industrial, commercial, and manufacturing settings. This includes working with a variety of materials such as metals, plastics, and other materials that carry liquids, gases, and steam. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of piping systems and be able to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to install or repair systems as needed.

- £17.06 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, fabricate, and repair piping systems for a range of industrial and commercial applications.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on piping systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Replace or repair worn or damaged parts to ensure proper functionality.
- Diagnose issues within piping systems, locate malfunctions or leaks, and repair or replace necessary components to restore service.
- Perform routine inspections of piping systems to detect any issues, ensuring systems are up to code and meet safety standards.
- Use welding techniques, threading, and pipe cutting to join or fabricate piping as needed.
Technical Skills:
- NVQ or equivalent in a relevant trade
- Building Services Experience i.e Heating systems, Ventilation systems, Ventilation systems, Chilled water systems, AC systems.
- Proficiency in using pipefitting tools (e.g., pipe wrenches, threading machines, cutting torches).
- Experience with welding, cutting, and brazing techniques.
