Senior Technician
Salary:
£28,544.39 per annum plus benefits
Hours: 40 Hours per week, rotational weeks:
(Week 1) - Monday - Friday 06:00 - 13:45
(Week 2) - Monday - Friday 13:45 - 21:45
Location: Southwark, London

We are working with a leader in waste, water and energy management. They are looking to recruit Senior Technicians to work at their flagship plant in Southwark, London.

What you'll be doing;

  • Conduct scheduled physical inspections by company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) procedures
  • Carry out operational Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) checks and report findings with the shift supervisor and maintenance supervisor
  • Communicate clear instructions and information to MBT operatives to support operations and high emphasis will be placed on the plant availability and the performance of the biological process
  • Record all defects and findings accordingly and assist with KPI data entry
  • The Senior Technician is required to have an excellent understanding of the SCADA system and will be expected to independently fault-find and rectify issues via this and the plant's equipment
  • Provide line management with specialist knowledge and hands-on expertise in rectifying and preventing problems such as equipment failure, material blockages and biological process inefficiencies
  • Prepare both facilities for daily operation and carry out necessary pre-start equipment checks in conjunction with the shift supervisor

What they're looking for;

  • Willingness to learn waste separation equipment is essential
  • Higher education or equivalent is desirable
  • A strong communicator, with leadership skills/experience
  • Technically minded with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience of leading people is preferred
