Meteorologist (Offshore Wind)
Carbon60 are interested in speaking with Meteorologists with experience in the Offshore Energy Industry.
Role: Meteorologist
Sector: Offshore Wind
Location: Reading - Hybrid
Start Date: October / November 2024
Duration: 3-Months (Sickness Cover) + Possible Extension
Rates: TBC Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella
Clearance: BPSS
- Must have eligibility to work in the UK to be considered for this position
Overview:
- Reviewing and analysing weather information, providing information as required to different parts of the Group.
- Providing insight into the short-term weather patterns and risks to the forecast.
- Supporting our Forecasting & Trading teams, working closely with Senior Meteorologists to develop your experience, building on your responsibilities as your experience and business understanding grows.
Requirements:
- A MSc degree in Meteorology, or another similar degree subject, coupled with a genuine interest and passion for understanding and interpreting weather systems.
- Ability to create and articulate complex information, and participate in daily discussions with broader EM colleagues.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, to develop and build strong business relationships.
- Motivated, self-starter with the capacity to work independently, and as part of a remote team.
