Health and Safety Advisor - Stevenage
Carbon60 are looking to recruit an experienced H&S Advisor to join a worldwide Facilities Management company to oversea the health and safety at their main site in Stevenage and cover Cambridge and Harlow when needed.
- Location: Stevenage with support to other sites (Cambridge and Harlow)
- Salary: £45k - £52k
- Working hours: 0800-1700, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
- Contract Type: Permanent Full Time
- Benefits: 25 days holiday + BH, Company Pension, Company Sick Pay + Flex Benefits.
What you'll do:
- To advise, comply and review company's EHS policy and procedures, all legal requirements, and best practice and to assist the project team in ensuring that they are compliant with all EHS: statutory requirements, accredited processes and procedures, contract and Client specific requirements.
- To support in the review of Risk Assessments.
- To assist in reporting of all EHS accidents/incidents/near misses ensuring timely investigations are undertaken, ensuring comprehensive reports, corrective actions and updates as required within set timeframes.
- To assist in ensuring that your area of responsibility, is compliant with all EHS: statutory requirements, accredited processes and procedures, CDM, contract and client specific requirements.
- To undertake regular structured inspections and audits, as defined by the needs of the contract within the project team and independently minimum weekly.
Candidate Profile:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
- IEMA or similar in environmental awareness.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (member of IOSH).
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety related role.
- Previous experience of working in a regulated environment.
- Auditor trained or auditing experience.
- Experience of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 and 45003 standards
- An understanding of CDM2015 and BS 5975 Temporary Works Standard.
