Engineering Project Quality Manager

Location: Ellesmere Port

Contract: 6 months (2 days per week)

Pay: £450 per day PAYE / £540 per day (Limited, Inside IR35)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Quality Manager to lead and oversee quality assurance activities for engineering projects at a high-hazard COMAH site at Ellesmre Port. In this role, you will ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements while driving continuous improvement across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement effective quality management systems and procedures.

* Create and maintain quality assurance plans, including inspection and testing protocols.

* Conduct regular quality audits and assessments on engineering processes and deliverables.

* Identify and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

* Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and COMAH regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).

* Master's degree in Quality Management or a related field (desirable).

* Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, or PMP (preferred).

* Experience in quality management within engineering or manufacturing.

* Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards, regulatory frameworks, and quality management systems.

* Proven experience working on COMAH sites or within high-hazard industries.
