This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lead Accountant.

Salary: £26.32 per hour

Location: Exeter

Date: 16 Mach to 30 September - 6 Months

Shift Pattern/ Hours : 09:00 am 16:00 pm / Monday to Friday / Hybrid

What you will be responsible for:

• To attend committee, Board and other meetings representing Finance.
• To undertake technical research into new government initiatives, emerging accounting standards and other changes and advising senior management as appropriate.
• To assist with benchmarking exercises, project evaluations, company financial appraisals within agreed timescales.
• To manage the work and performance of Officers reporting to a Lead Accountant post, including mentoring and training requirements.
• To manage strategic, corporate and unit projects as required within agreed timescales.
• To be the lead accountant for the provision of financial advice and technical support

Requirements:

• CCAB qualified
• Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
• Commercial accounting experience
• Staff management experience
• A good knowledge and experience of computerised financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Evidence of CPD
• Ability to explain financial information to non-financial managers
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload for yourself and the wider team
• Good problem solving and evaluation skills
