Procurement Specialist

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's supply chain and ensuring the timely delivery of the right parts and services to meet customer needs.

This role is on a contract basis currently up until November with the possibility of extension. This role is offers both PAYE or Umbrella rates.

In this Procurement Specialist position, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing and monitoring purchase orders to align with requirements
- Optimising ordering parameters to improve efficiency and responsiveness
- Handling reordering tasks after rejections, scrap, or damages
- Monitoring delivery forecasts and 'line of balance through regular supplier interactions
- Participating in supplier performance reviews and providing feedback
- Troubleshooting delivery issues, goods receipt, and invoice discrepancies
- Analysing MRP and supply exception messages to identify and resolve problems

To be successful in this Procurement Specialist role, you will need:

- Proven experience working in a supply chain environment
- Familiarity with using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimise supply chain processes
- Adaptability and a keen interest in learning and taking on new challenges
