Manufacturing Engineer
This trusted defence partner is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of the company's products.
Responsibilities:
- Compiling and updating Manufacturing Instructions to support the manufacturing process
- Designing, commissioning, and proving associated tooling
- Supporting the industrial validation process through the use of FMEA's, FAI's, and other quality assurance methods
- Resolving technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process
- Managing Configuration Control by implementing Design Modifications into the Manufacturing Instructions
- Supporting the Non Conformance Process using SAP
Requirements:
- A formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 and level 3 (ONC) or a formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years' experience within an engineering discipline
- The ability to interpret Design Drawings and produce Manufacturing Build Instructions for both Skilled and Semi-Skilled operators
- Experience in Electronic Sub Assembly manufacture through to System level builds
- Knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at various levels of the organisation
