The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventative maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join the company supporting a major project in OL7 0DB Ashton under Lyne.


As a suitably qualified and experienced Facilities Manager you will be working on site at a major food production facility in Ashton under Lyne. The primary role will be fulfilling the contractual hard services, facilities management obligations, ensuring all legal requirements are met. Responsibilities will include:

Management of hard services across the site ensuring SLA and KPI are delivered.

Ensuring the quality of the physical environment and standards of services provided.

Management of directly employed engineers and sub- contractors.

Delivering planned and preventative maintenance to Boilers, Steam Lines, Effluent Plant, Building Fabric and M&E Services along with checking service partner works.

Accountability for health and safety including compliance and understanding of risk, reporting and governance processes ensuring that these are fully applied, complied with and adhered to.

About You

Based ideally in the Oldham area you will need to live within a short commutable distance of Ashton under Lyne, and be prepared to travel to other sites as necessary to fulfil the duties of the role.

Demonstrable experience of working within a Hard Services/Engineering Facilities Management role in a food and beverage production environment.

Preferred industrial electrical background specifically apprenticeship trained with an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.


In return for your experience you will receive a competitive salary between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum, 28 days paid holiday as well as a range of other benefits.
