The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in process pipework and mechanical installation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a welder with stainless steel TIG welding experience to join the company's workshop, supporting a high profile project in Somerset.
As a suitably qualified welder with stainless steel TIG experience you will be working within a workshop environment welding high pressure steam lines for a food and beverage production facility. Specific duties will include welding 4" up to 16" heavy wall (sched 40) carbon steel pipelines to form part of a high pressure steam line which will then be installed on site. Due to the wall thickness certain welds will require a TIG route with a Stick cap and fill, so experience of this process is essential, as the company will arrange a coding on your first day. Other duties will include fabricating brackets and associated supports along with assisting other welders as necessary.
Based ideally in Somerset you will need to live within a commutable distance of BS25 5RA.
Demonstrable experience of heavy wall pipe welding using both TIG and Stick processes, ideally within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment is essential for this role.
Good all round welding experience with current or previous coding's.
CSCS, IPAF, SPA, CCNSG Cards would be an advantage.
In return for your experience you will receive a competitive hourly rate between £22.50 and £25.00 per hour as well as a range of benefits.
