IT Skills Capability Manager position based in Hampshire. A FTSE 100 business require a IT Skills Capability Manager to join their organisation at a time of large scale transformation. This is a diverse role and you will be responsible for developing the Project and Programme Delivery capability for Group IT. A key part of the role will be to define and maintain the development strategy for organisational learning in recognised Programme & Project Management and PMO skills. Duties as the IT Skills Capability Manager;· Analysis of training and development needs, developing standard learning plans for roles, identifying available courses· Take an active role in the training and development of programme and project staff to increase the available skills capability and capacity within the group. · Implement a capability improvement plan that addresses any capability gaps and supports continuous improvement of project management capability. · Support the Leadership team in employee performance management, including 121s, appraisals, Personal Development Plans, Performance Improvement Plans, career progression, team structure and SMART objectives.· Identify high and low performers and candidates for advancement, high performance coaching and succession planning. Use Performance Improvement Plans to ensure that areas of low capability are addressed.· Work with the Leadership team to drive staff professional development and capability improvement through the use of suitable project and programme assignments.Experience required as the IT skills Capability Manager;· Proven people and skills management in a large organisation· Hands-on involvement in the skills development process in information technology, particularly in project management· A good understanding of HR processes· Professional accreditation in or advanced knowledge of Project Management Methodology e.g. Prince 2 or MSP· Knowledge of the SFIA Framework and practical involvement in its implementation into an organisation· Knowledge of current Project Management qualifications and accreditationsA great opportunity for a Learning and Development focused or HR Individual to undertake this exciting new role.
