Where do you see your next role as an Commercial Asset Manager? Have you ever considered working for a Local Authority?

I have been retained by this local authority to secure a Strategic & Commercial Asset Manager to oversee the development of asset and capital strategies that will deliver savings to the Authority and improve service delivery and accessibility, enabling new projects to be brought forward. You will develop, lead and take forward strategies and opportunities aimed at securing significant capital investment into the Council's assets.

Overseeing a team that will manage a diverse portfolio of c4000 properties (£8bn In value) and delivering £8m a year in rent, you will be key in implementing strategies and opportunities aimed at securing significant capital investment into the Council's assets.

You should have expert knowledge of property strategy development and implementation and extensive knowledge of commercial modelling and cost benefit analysis. With excellent negotiation skills you will be able to effectively persuade and influence others at a senior level, make presentations to interested groups and to achieve agreement or consensus between groups or individuals with differing aims.

You will be able to prepare and present complex property and valuation reports and undertake formal presentations on complex matters in a clear and comprehensible manner to both professional and lay audiences

With in-depth knowledge of capital and asset planning, estate rationalisation and the pivotal role assets play in effective and efficient service delivery you should have in depth knowledge and application of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and CIPFA Code of Practice.

You must be a Member of RICS and ideally also a Registered Valuer and you must also have a strong background in team and line management.

The salary package for the role is £51,543 to £54,341 plus £3,203 car allowance, with a 17% employer's contribtion to pension.
