Quantity Surveyor required to work for a leading contractor, to work on transport/ infrastructure projects in the London area. The quantity surveyor will ideally have experience in managing all aspects of a commercial role, including subcontract procurement and cost value reconciliations.
Commercial reporting on civils and M&E project work.
Managing the payment process with clients in accordance with contract terms and agreeing final accounts.
Quantity surveying/ cost reporting to the client with the relevant supporting documentation, including subcontract and procurement schedules.
Quantity surveying on current projects, to maximise cash position, cash production and improvement plans.
Monitoring and authorisation of subcontractor payments, drafting subcontract arrangements/ terms of engagement where relevant.
Managing site cost records and creation/ implementation of a work breakdown structure.
Identifying potential commercials risks and opportunities.
Technical writing for Pre-qualification questionnaires.
Manage contract administration, and conduct ongoing risk analysis for all projects.
Identify opportunities to increase project profitability where possible.
Knowledge and experience of programming techniques and project controls.
Commercially astute quantity surveyor
Excellent knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement.
Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.
Ideally RICS accredited
Experience of NEC option C.
