We are currently recruiting for a Junior Software Engineer to join a well know Systems Integration company based just outside of Portsmouth.
This company are all about Automation or Industry 4.0, with a diverse selection of projects in a variety of sectors that include Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing and Water to name a few. This is not a place where you can get bored easily.

This company are now looking to bring a new Junior Software Engineer to the team, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to make the move into software development within a control systems/automation enviroment.
You will build on your existing knowledge to learn how to design, develop and Code different programmes for use in SCADA, PLC and HMI systems.
As you continue to grow within the company your role will develop and expand with more oppurtunities opening up, including the potential to get out on the road and visit the client sites first hand.
Main Responsibilities of a Software Engineer
Enjoy the whole life cycle of delivering projects, from start to finish.
Interface with customers and suppliers.
Produce the design documents.
Design and develop C# software.
Write the test documents.
Perform testing with customers.
Carryout on-site commissioning.
Thinks outside the box and pushes boundaries
Desired Skills and Experience:
At least 2 year's experience with (ladder diagram and structured text), OOP languages (C# etc.) or have Graduated with a relevant degree.
Experience or Knowledge of SCADA based platforms (e.g. Wonderware, ICONICS etc.) Is highly beneficial.
An appetite to learn new technologies.
Would be great but not essential to have good understanding of setting up, commissioning, and fault finding of industrial networks (DeviceNet, Profibus, Ethernet).
Highly motivated, organised and flexible.
Positive, personable and happy team player.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
