A Quantity Surveyor is required for a range of exciting new projects with one of the nation's leading housebuilders. As an experienced quantity surveyor, you can expect to oversee the commercial management of a number of London projects from beginning to end. You will join an enthusiastic team of commercial professionals in their North London office.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide a detailed budget detailing cost schedules/ hours
Calculate all costs relating to house pricing, labour costs and site work
Manage quantity schedules and prepare estimates for subcontract materials
Oversee and manage all costs and prepare final accounts accordingly
Liaise with the commercial director, other quantity surveyor's and the senior management team, and provide input/ improvements to the commercial plan where appropriate
Manage the supply chain where relevant and recharge any costs owed.
Monitor and report build costs and report on any savings or excesses.
Skills and Experience
Prior experience in a quantity surveyor role, ideally with good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and H&S standards.
Relevant professional qualification, ideally a member of the CIOB or RICS
Strong communication and negotiation skills and knowledge of the London residential marketplace
