Program ManagerOur client is a leading develop of rugged embedded electronics products used primarily in the Defence and Aerospace sectors. They are looking to recruit a Program Manager.As a Program Manager you have the opportunity to make a huge difference in our customers experience. You will work as part of a team of Program and Customer Support Managers in the PMO. We work closely with our PMO team members in the US and across all functions of the business, regularly reporting to leadership. The PM is responsible for overall program execution, leading a cross functional team to provide customer service excellence by delivering to our customers expectations on communications, reports and product delivery. Secondary Purpose of this Position:· Delivering customer service excellence.· Responsible for program cost and billing management.· Ensuring all customer deliverables are on spec and on time.· Working with cross-functional teams to improve the On-Time Delivery (OTD) against business and customer milestones.· Key Process Owner for major customer reviews, all customer communications, reporting and change control in assigned programs.· Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, OTDs and repair turnaround times.· Identifies potential resource gaps and works with business leadership to address.· Proposal support, including contract review, schedule development and support for written responses.· Maintains ownership of customer acknowledgement and sign off process; including but not limited to: technical specifications, SOW activities, qualification tasks, delivery dates, costs and documentation requirements and any other contractual documents.· Supporting Process Owner for risk management of assigned programs.· Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: · Degree from accredited university or college; or 6 years related experience.· Thorough understanding of project/ program management - preferably PMP or Prince2 qualified.· Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers.· Excellent problem solving skills.· Experience working in a dynamic, customer focused environment.· Ability to translate customer issues/ needs into profitable business solutions.· Ability to work on own initiative and as part of an integrated team.· Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, and manage priorities effectively.· Good organisational skills.· Strong facilitation and presentation skills.· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project.· Knowledge of industry practices and Earned Value Management (EVM)· Willingness and ability to travel.· Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management.
