Mechanical Fitter/ Mechanical Assembly Technician AIT
6 Month Contract (initially)
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Technician that will be working as part of a team to build and integrate Satellite Payloads.
- Equipment integration
- Waveguide integration
- Coax cable integration
- Structural component integration
- Use of basic hand tools (torque tools, screwdrivers, spanners, measurement tools)
- Basic engineering hand skills (filing, drilling, tapping, heli-coil installation)
You will need an HNC/ HND/ Degree in engineering production or have completed an apprenticeship within aerospace/ space/ military or other high quality production fields.
Be familiar using measurement tools such as Vernier Callipers and Micrometers as well as using torque wrenches and will have some experience within either Aerospace, Space, Motorsport/ Automotive or Ex Military.
The Ideal Person:
Preferably you will have experience/ proven ability working to a very fine tolerance either from working in a clean room environment or high quality/ high value manufacturing areas.
You need to have a flexible approach to work as you will be required to work shifts.
Must be able to work at height and in a restricted space.
£19.00 per hour
20% Shift Allowance = 06.00 - 22.00
33% Shift allowance = 22.00 - 06.00
