Having secured a prestigious contract in the Docklands area, I am looking for a Technical Manager to join the team on a contract basis for a minimum six months to support the management and onboarding of this contract into the client's portfolio. With a strong hard services FM background, you will be required to establish and deploy the statutory compliance and certification process, ensuring that client systems are up to date and that the building is compliant.
As a Technical Manager, you should have strong knowledge of managing engineering projects and subcontractors and should be able to work autonomously and own and drive issues to a conclusion, providing recommendations to the Management Team.
You will be required to assist your Manager with key projects including:-
- Fire Safety with compliance of alarm systems to BS5839
- A lifts defects programme
- Managing a post-fit out programme including commissioning issues
- Setting up of a complance programme to include
- A Compliance Tracker
- A Governance Programme
- Records and Certification/Log books
In managing subcontractors and the projects, you will aim to ensure that works are completed on time and within budget avoiding financial penalties to the client.
Preferentially with an Engineering degree, you should have excellent knowledge of fire detection system and lifts, with LOLER being of benefit.
With excellent IT skills, you should be able to deal with the client efficiently and effectively to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties. Experience in a statutory compliance role would be a clear advantage in undertaking this role.
