We are currently working in partnership with a leading Systems Integration Company on the South Coast who are looking to add a Lead ICA/EC&I Technician to their team to assist in the delivery of a major control system upgrade project for Thames Water.

The ICA Technicians are responsible for the installation of various instrumentation and control systems (PLC, SCADA and Network systems) on multiple sites covering the Thames region.

The role of this Lead ICA engineer will be to supervise the ICA Team as well as be point of contact for any technical or logistical issues. The Lead engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and fault finding on the Clean Water sites as and when needed.

This position will be field based traveling to different sites daily to ensure work is progressing and to agreed standards.

When required to be in the office this will be based in either Fareham or Reading.

This role would provide an interesting step up for someone looking to take on a lead role or would ideally suit an engineer who is looking to move away from being "on the tools" and into a more supervisory role whilst maintaining the technical aspect working with Instrumentation and control systems.

Skills and requirements:

  • Previous experience as an ICA, EC&I, EICA or Control systems technician/engineer.
  • Previous water/utilities experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Good Technical knowledge of control systems & instrumentation installation.
  • Ability to Troubleshoot and fault find complex systems.
  • JIB or ECS site Card.
  • Drivers licence.

This position will be on a long term contract base with the minimum term being 12 months.

The company will provide a company van, fuel card, expenses and will pay for any accommodation if required to stay overnight at a site.

Immediate starts are available and interviews are being scheduled now so apply to be considered.
