We are currently recruiting for Junior Control Systems Engineers to join a well-known and expanding Industrial Automation company based in Cambridge.
The purpose of this position is to train aspiring Automation Engineers to an expert level within the field of systems integration and control systems engineering.
During your time as a junior engineer you will gain excellent experience and grow your knowledge in:
· PLC/SCADA Programming, this will include developing new code from client documentation and reverse engineering of legacy code into newer products. · Whilst coding you will gain exposure to a mixture of specialist proprietary Languages as well as more generic industry standard languages.· Gain experience and training in the design and programming of large I/O SCADA systems (Schneider, Allen Bradley, and Siemens).· Reading old and designing new electrical schematics. · Installation and commissioning of control systems on site and within the workshop. · Full build of RTUs (Remote Terminal Units).This position will also offer both office and workshop based work as well as the opportunity to work alongside experienced control systems engineers out in the field and on site.
To be consider for this role you will need to have graduated in a relevant degree or equivalent such as:
- Mechatronics - Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Control Systems and Automation Engineering - Software Engineering.
Or any other that has given exposure to working with control systems (SCADA, PLC, and HMI Etc.).
If you have previous practical experience working within an Automation Company this is highly advantageous.
