Primary Purpose of this Position· Responsible for tactical supplier performance across assigned commodity / vendor groups· Management of MRP - procurement of direct/indirect material to specification via the approved vendor base· Track material status to required date (ensure all dates in the ERP system are accurate and up to date)· Follow through on action items to align schedules to Customer request and provide clear and open communication.· Deliver savings and added value through effective sourcing and procurement (how many; when; minimal excess).· Initial point of escalation for resolution of supplier issues.· Work across the business to address supplier queries in a timely manner (re: Quality; GI; pricing; carriage costs).· Support supplier assessments; selection; approval; and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), maximising Quality assurance with appropriate Quality Control Plans for key suppliers.· Conduct supplier quality trend analysis and lead supplier non-compliance and preventative action activity, ensure timely resolution of issues (support RCCA; I-CAR; C-CAR; S-CAR, define AQLs and train out the SQL manual as required Interpret technical specifications & statements of work to support an effective DFMEA; Feasibility; FAIR; process.· Enforce a quality culture, focused on prevention not detection (incl. counterfeit avoidance).· Supply Chain / SQE - analysis of supplier defects during processing to determine cause & develop corrective actions.· Support delivery of cost savings, lead-time reduction, and VA through effective Supply Chain strategies· Ensure supplier related MRB and RMA actions are actioned a timely manner.· Establish strong working relationships with all key stakeholders (support NPI / business reviews).· Review ECR impact statements with regards component changes and mitigate liabilities where applicable.

Secondary Purpose of this Position· Support Supply Chain teaming across the business to continuously innovate and deliver customer excellence, utilisation / productivity / efficiency improvements and reduce lost cost.· Review Supply Chain data with the manufacture teams and provide closed loop feedback to deliver sustained CI activity (improving throughput and growth of objectives without compromising quality· Deliver cost savings, lead-time reduction, and VA through effective Supply Chain, manufacture and test strategies.· Support RFQ; bid; contract reviews with regards Supply Chain and compliance requirements.

Desired Characteristics · Knowledge and experience of using SAP· experience of sourcing in the military/avionics electronics industry.· Procurement experience including ability to negotiate at a senior level· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications etc · Key experience in Electro Mechanical procurement and/or· Key Experience in Electronic component procurement and/or· All round experience in Electronics and Electromechanical procurement
