We are currently working alongside a leading industrial Automation company based in Warrington to recruit an experience Submission Manager to work in partnership with the Proposals Team in the Acquisition of new business.

This is a permanent position reporting into the company's marketing and communications manager.

This Submissions Manager role will entail planning, managing, coordinating and delivering the production of tender submissions together with all artwork, materials and media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and promote usage of the company tender response library
  • To deliver a consistent, professional & accurate bid submissions service to deliver company growth aspirations across the UK
  • To develop and implement tools and processes that improve tender submission effectiveness, productivity and success rate
  • Work with Proposals Team to develop high quality bid submissions that align with the requirements of our customers
  • Support bid managers and bid teams in planning and coordinating requirements/activities for major bid submissions and keeping to agreed timetables
  • Take responsibility for designing, formatting, editing and proof reading of major bid submissions & associated literature to ensure accuracy and professional presentation
  • Provide support to estimating teams for minor bid submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards
  • Establish and manage a database/library of standard tender responses, design templates and presentation materials and promote usage throughout the business
  • Develop high quality artwork through to production for both tender submissions and associated client presentations
  • Submit tender responses via industry portals as appropriate
  • Drive continuous improvement in all submissions and presentation materials
  • Work collaboratively across the business to share information and learning
  • Provide support, where required, for other elements of the bid process including PQQs
  • Work as part of the wider Marketing & Communications team to increase the company profile externally

Required Experience:

  • experience of working in a bid/proposals team
  • Very high level of sophistication in written and oral English with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with a flair for the creative presentation of bid solutions
  • Ability to understand complex information and present in a visually compelling way
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to skilfully negotiate and influence others, and build good working relationships internally and externally
  • Achievement oriented - ability to manage multiple targets, prioritise conflicting demands, overcome obstacles, and work with enthusiasm

  • Positive disposition, demonstrating self-motivation, enthusiastic, diplomatic and calm under pressure
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe packages such as InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop


  • A qualification in Graphic Design, communications or Bid Management is desirable for this position but not essential
