Engineering Change EngineerAs an experienced Engineer with change experience youll be part of the Control Systems group that specifies designs, implements, tests and delivers, Platform Management Systems into the Defence Marketplace.Your role will be to evaluate the impact of customer change requests, to ensure the delivery of safe, secure and working complex PLC and SCADA solutions. Youll create estimates and proposals for modifying hardware and software systems including PLC/SCADA software and produce technical documentation to a high standard in accordance with company/customer procedures.To secure this role were looking for a Change Engineer with demonstrable experience of: Requirements Capture and Negotiation Systems Engineering Estimating technical scope and workload Familiar with SCADA and PLC software Understanding of PC Hardware and PLC Hardware, Ethernet Network Design Degree, HND, HNC in Electrical/Electronic/Control/Software/Systems Engineering or related discipline Be a self-starter to execute a variety of project functions efficiently and professionally Work flexibly within a team environment, as well as independently, on any associated programme task Ability to occasionally travel to customer and sub-contractor sites in the UK, as requiredDesirable Criteria: Ships Machinery Control Systems, Commercial or Military Marine Engineering Rockwell Automation - RSView, Logix5000, Softlogix, Control Logix Siemens - WinCC OA, Step 7, S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500 IEC61508 & Safety (SIL) Software Development Understanding of PC Hardware and PLC Hardware, Ethernet Network Design Operating Systems, MS Windows Server, Linux Open Interface Standards, Serial Interfaces Test Specification Development to a high standard Software and System Factory Acceptance Testing Software Configuration Control Validation and Verification Process Demonstrating compliance to International Standards and Client Specifications An understanding of ILS processes, MTBF calculations, FMECAs, Reliability Block Diagrams Commissioning, Setting to Work in a Marine Environment Presentation Skills, Customer and Sub-Contractor Facing MS Access, Excel, Word, Visio to advanced level HMI /SCADA Software Development and Human Factors Engineering Control System Architecture and Software Design PLC Code Development to IEC61131 - Ladder and Function Block
