Role: Delivery Lead
Duration: 6 month contract
Our client is looking for a Delivery Lead to work within one or more agile delivery teams, taking new products from idea through to implementation, in support of their Business Strategy.
You will have experience in designing and implementing systems of work on a number of teams / projects and will ensure there's a focus on delivering value to the customers in support of Business objectives. You will also act as an immediate escalation point to unblock issues and impediments.
Inspires and motivates teams focused on creation of value to the business. You are able to work closely with other Delivery Leads to deliver project and initiative outcomes.
Operates within communities and shares good practice across Delivery Teams.
Utilises innovative methodologies and strategies to optimise value and flow to the business
Respected across the organisation for coaching and collaboration.
Excellent facilitator that enables conversations and workshops that have the right outcomes to support our Business Strategy.
Able to demonstrate ability to thrive in a challenging dynamic environment, where they are adept at managing ambiguity. The Delivery Lead must quickly surface and resolve challenges and impediments. Demonstrates a history of helping teams define elegant solutions for complex and potentially high value Business opportunities.
Works across the Delivery portfolio to build and maintain effective Business relationships.
Works with 3rd Parties to build lasting mutually beneficial relationships where Delivery professional services are required.
Develops and builds strong delivery teams and thriving communities. Actively and demonstrably collaborates across the complex delivery landscape for shared success and customer value.
Financial Management & Commercial Acumen
Experienced in financial control of a project or initiative.
Has a good understanding of commercial IT, digital and modern retail trends. Understands the concept of risk adjusted return on capital and how the business governs and evaluates its investments.
Deep understanding of Retail IT Delivery in a Lean and Agile environment
Typically 3-7 years' experience of delivering solutions in an IT Delivery environment
Has deep experience of the delivery of complex Business projects involving cross-functional expertise with a technology component
Functional knowledge of supply chain logistics or a transport management system.
Knowledge of integrating cloud, on premise components from multiple vendors and with complex commercial arrangements.
Experience of project management.
