An opportunity for a Software Developer to join one of the world's leading Aerospace companies based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire initially on a 6 month contract. The role of Software Developer will be part of the Software Testing & Engineering Division for development of spacecraft platforms, payloads and equipment.

The Software Developer will be based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire and work closely with the RangeDB product focal point who is responsible for capturing new product features and managing development.

The role of Software Developer is varied and will include:-

  • Object orientated analysis and design using UML
  • Object orientated Programming using JAVA and Eclipse
  • Practical knowledge of Eclipse Modelling Framework
  • Desktop application/tool development using client/server architecture

Knowledge of the following would be advantageous:-

  • Plugin development using Eclipse Rich Client Platform
  • Spacecraft avionics systems
  • SpaceWire, MiLSTD 1553, ECSS PUS
  • Test Driven Development

The successful candidate will be degree educated in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline with a proven track record as a Software Developer.
