Senior UX Designer

Location: Bracknell

Contract Duration: 6 Months

For this UX Designer role, based in Bracknell, you will be expected to work within the Findability team in Product, responsible for the Search and Browse journeys on the company website. The UX designer will be working very closely with the whole team, but especially the other UXers, UI designers and Product Owners to iterate and improve the customer shopping experience to the fullest. It is very important this individual highly collaborative, and an active team player who focuses on utilising customer insight, testing and data to inform and influence the Product design. The suitable candidate must be highly articulate, be able to breakdown a clear robust discovery and execution approach supported by a thoughtful, compelling rationale to evangelise and influence with diplomacy and tact.

For this role, you will need to practice an Agile approach, as part of an efficient and multi-disciplined delivery team. You must have strong experience sketching, wireframing and prototyping to design seamless user flows and intuitive user interfaces for evaluation

Essential Experience:

 Retail ecommerce experience

 Related degree or equivalent in practical UX experience (Minimum 4-5 years) (Not so interested in a hybrid with more shallow skills in UX)

 Excellent knowledge and experience in designing for responsive digital products

 AGILE scrum experience: working in sprints with backlogs and feature sets

 Solid experience of sketching, wireframing and prototyping to visualise your ideas - from 6-up sketching to high fidelity, interactive prototypes

 Fluency in industry software including Axure, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud and Jira

 Excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills

 Good experience in workshop planning and facilitation

 Strong advocate and good working knowledge of designing to Accessibility standards

Desirable Experience:

 Experience in helping setting vision and strategic roadmaps

 Familiarity with UI style guides, design components and UI kits

 Familiarity with front-end coding skills (HTML, CSS, SASS, Javascript)

 Previous experience of designing for animation/ motion
