Environmental Test ManagerStevenageJob SummaryThe Client is looking for an EVT Manager within the Space environment. The Stevenage test facilities offer a plethora of testing solutions ranging from Vibration, Thermal Vacuum, Climatic, Shock, High Power & RF, and electrical testing. As the manager of the testing facilities the role includes, but is not limited to planning and promoting the daily schedule of employees and the business, drive recruitment to meet business requirements thus to develop and man manage a world class testing team, manage internal and external customer relations, create and maintain budgets including large capital investment - and co-ordinate with and report to senior management within the company.Job ProfilePEOPLE: Welfare and Development for Test Engineers, technical authority and GSE PDR on time for the team Keep your team engaged and motivated Be reliable for your team to support time management, Bonus & compensations topics Operationally manage Team Leader to develop Process Owners into Lead Engineer to be integrated in your team Create individual training plans for new and existing Test Engineers to allow them to develop in their role. Recruit to secure Workload / Capacity balance for Test Engineer and GSE and monitor the overall WL & capacity for test department Promote an integrated Environmental test team by leading and facilitating the community as an integrated team DELIVERY: Ensure Lead Engineers capture a clear view of projects requirement Ensure Lead Engineers formalize & monitor schedule logic, inputs needs, and costs for each project Allocate Lead engineers to projects & ensure they are delivered to customers expectations Ensure Lesson Learnt are done on each projects and are embedded for future projects Ensure Problem Solving is done on each occurrence of problems and corrective actions are taken Support KPO Delivery Manager to identify risks & ops and in customer interface Deputizing for KPO Equipments on all Test services matterSkills/Experience RequiredESSENTIAL:: Bachelor degree or HND with relevant experience (e.g. 5 years in production environment) in Manufacturing or Production discipline Significant (e.g.5 years) Experience in Assembly / Production environment Minimum of 2 years Management, project management or Team leading experience Experience of Lean implementation / culture, Quality environment, Experience of MRP, Scheduling experience, Cost Management, being able to be analytic People Management and leadership, Procedures and process experienceDESIRABLE: Clean room experience Security clearance to SC level12 month contract£45 per hour ltd
