assignment paying around £22.69 p/h. 27.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
To be responsible for actioning required risk mitigation actions, identified during recent audit/s, reporting to the Manager Fleet & Transport Co-ordination, who has responsibility for depot safety, in accordance with current H&S legislation and Council policy.
These relate to workplace and activity safety at the Council's main operational depot (Brunel Road Depot).
We need someone with:
- Significant experience of busy depot operational arrangements (site used daily by many vehicles, which deliver Council services e.g. refuse collection, etc.
- Significant experience and thorough knowledge of relevant H&S legislation, traffic management and operational site safety arrangements
- NEBOSH Nat Diploma in Occupational H&S or equivalent desirable
- CPC in HGV operations would be an advantage
