Deputy CAM

Carbon60 have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Deputy Continued Airworthiness Manager to work within the aerospace industry based in Staverton, Gloucestershire.

The Deputy Continued Airworthiness Manager will report to the Continued Airworthiness Manager (CAM). They will be responsible to the CAM for the team of airworthiness staff, based at the company's Headquarters in Staverton.

The Deputy CAM will deliver all Airworthiness requirements for the company's aircraft, and also for any private aircraft that the company is contracted to manage. The Deputy CAM will be the nominated Part M subpart I EASA form 4 holder for the Airworthiness Reviews, this will include ARC renewals and extensions.

You will ensure regulatory compliance on behalf of the company in conjunction with the CAM for EASA Part M and will be responsible for the Management and oversight of continued airworthiness information, including Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB), maintenance programmes etc.

You will be working for a company based in Gloucestershire who provide maintenance, design, manufacture and support to organisations who rely on rotary wing aircraft for their operations.

Knowledge requirements:

  • A very strong working knowledge of the regulations and requirements associated with airworthiness and aircraft maintenance
  • A strong maintenance related technical knowledge of aircraft airframe/engine systems
  • Health & Safety and human factors awareness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Management of the oversight of continued airworthiness information, including AD, SB, maintenance programme etc.
  • Experience in the preparation of work packages for the introduction of modification programmes, and maintenance checks.
  • Experience in forward planning of heavy maintenance activity.
  • Maintain continued airworthiness records in accordance with Part M.
  • Ensure that the mass and balance statement reflect the current status of the aircraft.
  • Ensure that the Certificate of Airworthiness and ARC for each aircraft managed by the organisation remains valid.
  • Review and implementation, as appropriate, of any additional UK CAA requirements.
  • Liaison with the aircraft, engine and equipment manufacturers regarding continuing airworthiness matters.
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance, the application of airworthiness directives, the replacement of service life limited parts and component inspections to ensure the work is carried out properly.
  • Maintain continued airworthiness records in accordance with Part M.

Experience/Education requirements:

  • Airworthiness review staff requirements as laid down in M.A.707 (a)
  • At least 5 years' experience in continuing airworthiness
  • Appropriate Engineering qualifications. (BTEC, HNC, HND, Degree, EASA Part 66 License). - May be replaced with 5 years' experience in continuing airworthiness
  • Formal aeronautical maintenance training
  • A position within an approved organization with appropriate responsibilities
  • Basic Academic Qualifications
  • Management experience.
  • Strong IT skills
