Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client is a leading developer of navigational and surveillance radar systems. They are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to provide Production Support and Quality Assurance across the business in all aspects of ISO 9001:2015. This is a good opportunity for an enthusiastic individual, with a passion for quality in an innovative electromechanical environment.


  • Provide hands on Quality Assurance support across all business units.
  • Act as Product Quality Authority for both manufactured and purchased parts.
  • Lead and report 8D quality investigations.
  • Support the change control and concession processes.
  • Ownership and management of the non-conformance reporting process.
  • Conduct supplier audits.
  • Conduct internal audits.
  • Contribute to monthly management quality assurance report meetings.
  • Attend design review meetings as the focal quality lead.
  • Develop quality performance of key suppliers.
  • Support Quality Systems Activities.
  • Any other tasks associated with this role.


  • Proven experience in a Quality Engineer position.
  • Holds a recognised quality qualification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ideally using 8D methodology.
  • Experience of working in an electromechanical manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Quality Management system knowledge around ISO 9001:2015.
  • An understanding of new product introduction process.
  • Experience in providing active support to process engineering in continuous improvement activities.
  • Knowledge of ESD protocols would be desirable.
  • Experienced certified lead auditor for ISO 9001:2015
  • Knowledge of IPC610, IPC 620 and Marine Equipment Directive would be an advantage.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
