A stores operative is required to work in an engineering stores department. The role will require unpacking equipment, loading it to the appropriate location in the stores and ensuring that parts are provided to those requesting them.
The Engineering Stores department is not a warehouse, it does not require fork lift truck experience and your focus will be on ensuring equipment is unpacked and logged accurately. This will mean that you will need to spend a lot of time working on the computer so being able to operate a computer effectively is important.
- Responding to Engineering requests, providing the engineers with the equipment they ask for
- Unpacking and storing engineering parts safely and effectively in the correct places
- Checking orders are correct
- Some stock taking
- Entering part information into the correct databases on the computers
The work is Monday to Friday 8.30 - 4.30
The position is initially a 3 month contract but there is the opportunity for this to become permanent if all parties are happy.
