Electrician - Water

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a number of skilled electricians with varied levels of experience on 12 month contract basis to join a very well-known Industrial Automation company to work on water treatment projects based across the South East region.

These positions have become available due to the company winning a large contract to maintain all of the water treatment plants across the South East region, this will involve maintenance, fault finding, installations of new and refurbished equipment to ensure the efficiency of the treatment plants are maintained.

Role Responsibilities will include:

• Installation and maintenance of electrical equipment associated with pumps, valves, control panels and motors and monitoring systems and power supplies (single and three phase)
• Performing both preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
• Test and inspection of all electrical equipment.
• Fault finding and fault diagnosis.
• Take responsibilities for the identification of required parts and equipment needed for each package of work.
• When needed work closely with mechanical engineers and other electricians on site.
• Complete required documentation relating to new installs and maintenance activities.
• Travel to various different water treatment sites.

Skill and experience required:

As previously mentioned we are looking for a number of candidates with varied levels of experience however to detail the experience we require across all roles:

• Previous experience within an electrical installation/maintenance role will be essential.
• Experience working within the water industry or with the associated equipment (pumps, valves etc.) is highly desirable.
• Qualified with a relevant electrical qualification - NVQ level 2 or 3, 18^th edition, City and Guilds or equivalent.
• JIB card or ECS card.
• 2391 test and inspection certification
• Full UK Drivers Licence

The working week is based on a 37 hours per week.
