Senior Electronics Engineer

Our client is a world leader in the development of remote vital signs monitoring devices. They are looking to hire a Senior Electronics Engineer to work on the design of new products.

This role will be based at their offices in Basinstoke but there is an option to work 1-2 days from home.

The role will include running hardware development projects involving electronics design. These will either be developing new or refining and enhancing existing features. The role will involve working on design modules including writing design specifications, specifying components, creating schematics evaluating designs, prototyping assemblies and prototype testing.

The candidate will be responsible for liaising with suppliers to manage the build of prototypes and pre-production units and subsequently support moving the design outcome into internal and subcontractor production. As well as offering technical support to ongoing production activities and customer related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • An Electronics degree from an accredited University or HND
  • 3-5+ years' experience in product development.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience of electronics and systems.
  • Highly PC literate, experienced in Word/Excel etc.
  • Schematic and PCB CAD design experience/skills.
  • Demonstrable organizational skills.
  • A good eye for detail.
  • Experience developing products for medium-large scale manufacture.

Desirable

  • Appreciation of mechanical design aspects.
  • Experience of working within an organization operating an ISO13485 quality system and meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, test and hardware debugging skills

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, attention to detail and "self-starter" skills
  • Ability to work as a part of a team, or individually while using own initiative
  • First-class analytical and problem-solving skills with a dedication to maintaining high quality standards
