We are looking for an individual to support an engineering sales team by providing customer support, information gathering and quotation support. The role has the potential for development into external sales roles or project engineering positions.
The company we are recruiting for provide support to the water networks through the manufacture and distribution of sensor equipment used within water systems to monitor flow rates, detect leaks and generally improve the amount and quality of water reaching homes.
This role will be varied and will ultimately improve the ability of the external sales team to perform their function effectively. In doing this role you will become very knowledgable about all the equipment this company sell, their component parts and the costs of both manufacturing and providing this equipment to customers.
The role will involve:
- Supporting quootations
- Qualification of leads provided through the sales inbox
- Triage calls for customers requiring support, deciding if the query can be resolved immediately or needs to be passed to technical engineers
- Checking stock level
- Checking pricing
- Updating sales software (Salesforce) as leads develop
- Some involvement in exhibitions may be required
This company are very open to training, the main requirement of this role is a good attitude, the ability to understand technical equipment and the willingness/enthusiasm to become a productive member of the team.
It would be useful if the candidate had previous inside sales support expereince or experience within the Environmental monitoring environment (or any telemetry equipment provider).
