My client is looking for Support Engineers for permanent positions to be based in Bracknell. You will need to be a British National and Security Cleared.Your responsibilities:Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolutionStudy, diagnose, troubleshoot and recognize solutions to solve customer issuesFollow standard methods for proper escalation of unsolved issues to the appropriate internal teamsProvide timely and detailed feedback to customersEnsure proper recording and closure of all issuesPrepare accurate and timely reportsDocument knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articlesRequirementsProven working experience in enterprise technical support, IT support or as a technical engineerBasic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, utilities and scriptingGreat problem-solving skillsGreat client-facing skillsOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsShift Pattern will be as following:On joining - 4 days off, 4 days on comprising of a 12 hour shiftThereafter Normal Service is:3 weeks -Monday to Friday 8 hour shift4th week- On call - Monday to Sunday (24/7 support)OT 8 hour break before the next shift
