Please note this position is only open to UK Nationals. UK and International travel will be required.Due to expansion, a position for a Contracts Manager has become available with my client who specialise in the Defence Sector.You will be responsible for implementing Risk Management procedures and supporting bids, including the compliance process. There will be broad interaction with all parties involved and will include guidance, negotiations, technical and commercial inputAs part of the process, you will generate proposal documents, assist with vetting, cash flow projections and reviewing terms and conditions. You will also draw up contractual documents such as Supply and Purchase Contracts, Confidentiality Agreements, Licensing Agreements etc.Representing the Commercial Bid Team at meetings and managing all aspects of the group property portfolio as well as renewals of Patents/Intellectual Property will also form part of your responsibilitiesA good understanding of UK MOD Commercial processes is important which includes DEFCONS & DEFFORMS and the USA counterpartsKey Skills neededAt least 5 years previous professional experience in Defence or similar regulated industryKnowledge of UK and International contracting and commercial principles and legislationExperience of bidding and negotiating to international defence and security marketsKnowledge of UK Export Controls and Intellectual Property legislations.Excellent time management and computer skills especially Excel and Power Point Other languages and formal legal training would be an advantage
