Verification & Validation Engineer (Test E&EMC) - ContractNB'' Only sole British Nationals with SC Security Clearance need apply.My client is a dynamic global security and defence company providing innovative systems, products and solutions worldwideThe position is key and you will be a member of a multi-disciplined project team in the Maritime Defence Engineering V&V team. You will ensure systems are fully verified and validated in order to meet the requirements to the Customers satisfaction. You will support the planning, conduct and reporting of V&V activities, primarily Environmental and EMC, under direction of the project delivery management and V&V leadership. Highlighting issues found during test from integration through to acceptance is crucial.Key Tasks· Conduct E&EMC and project V&V activities in compliance with approved management plans, using approved methods, competent personnel and processes· Compile and issue management plans, processes and development estimates· Liaise with Customers, suppliers and 3rd party test facilities· Provide regular feedback to V&V Team lead and Delivery Management· Design Estimate compilation and review,· Support risk reviews, programme reviews and design reviews· Maintain and promote best practice for V&V activities in accordance with Industry standards.· Facilitate own deliverables review and configuration with respect to the applicable programme/corporate plans.· Fault/Issue reporting and investigation· Support implementation of Project & office security measuresEssential Criteria Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience in suitable related engineering discipline e.g. Systems/Software/Hardware/Electronics/Control Systems engineering Experience of conducting Environmental and EMC test activities from planning through conduct to reporting and completion Proficient use of applicable E&EMC Standards e.g. Def Stan 00-35, Mil Std 410, Def Stan 59-411. Experience of engineering planning and conduct of Verification & Validation/Systems/Software activities within a Systems Engineering lifecycle Reporting test metrics, including test management tool experience Experience in defining Software and Systems test requirements, procedures and test equipment Proficient using laboratory test tools (e.g. multi meter, oscilloscope, logic analyser, data capture and analysis) Fault diagnostic skills including fault identification and reporting Technical report writing skills to produce documentation to a high standard Self-starter, to assign and execute a variety of project functions efficiently and professionally Proficient user of MS office applications, Word, Excel etc.Desirable qualifications/experience Team leadership experience Test experience of complex PLC based control systems Test Automation experience Familiar with Defence Engineering Standards Familiar with IEC 61508 or similar Functional safety standardFor more information, please contact Adrian Weideman at Carbon60on 0739 658 6097 or
